Diary of an Affiliate Marketer
I have been using an affiliate marketing niche program today called Market Samurai which can be downloaded as a trial program for free. The trial lasts for 12 days which is plenty of time to see what this piece of software can do and it can do a lot.
One of the main problems you will have trying to find a niche that is worth building a website about is knowing the value of the keywords for that niche. Let me explain that in a bit more detail.
The whole point of building a niche website as an affiliate is to make money by referring visitors to merchant’s websites or by monetizing the traffic through Google Adsense or a similar means of monetizing.
Normally you would be thinking of a possible topic for your niche and would then have to spend a lot of your valuable time researching the niche looking for keywords, the competition, possible eBooks and goods related to the niche and all the other tedious but very important things we have to do before we decide if a niche is a viable market.
Noble’s affiliate marketing niche program Market Samurai has been developed to do all the hard work for you and is so quick and easy that it’s a revelation. After watching some of the tutorials I decided to play around with some ideas for possible niche markets.
The speed with which I was able to do the research was incredible. What normally takes hours to just get started took minutes in comparison and I did take the trouble to compare the results from the software compared to my normal way of researching and I was very impressed with the results.
This is a tool for checking out ideas quickly and giving you the answers to your questions such as “will I make money” which is your number one question.
To give a brief summary of how this affiliate marketing niche program works I would summarize it like this:
- It gives you a keyword list based on your main keyword
- You then prune the keywords down to the most competitive keywords
- The software will then go and check out products for your keyword list
- You then decide whether that niche is worth your time and effort based on the information given.
I had fun using the software and for someone starting out with little or no knowledge of selecting a niche market I would say this is a very exciting product. For veterans you are probably already set in your ways and probably know the markets you intend to develop.
Over the past few months I have seen plenty of software development with developers putting together software to help affiliate marketers achieve more success than ever before even in today’s competitive markets. Software such as Chris Carpenter’s Google Cash Detective which is capable of telling you the most successful adverts and campaigns currently running on the internet and the keywords that your competitors are profiting from.
As the development continues you will have to be prepared to invest some time and money in the software to stay on top of your market.
